Autumn Walk

This morning I dragged my cold-stricken self out for a walk with SoJo. It was a pretty cool morning, but I felt that I needed some fresh air after being sick the last two days. It's definitely fall in these parts, and I'm thrilled because it's my favorite season. Some of the signs of autumn in Kutztown...
...construction paper leaves in the upstairs window of the pre-school down the block...

...a sad deflated pumpkin balloon at the dollar store...
and Halloween headbands...

...a kudzu-like plant turning red...

...pumpkins and gourds on porches...
(I live in what I'd nicely call a "working class" neighborhood, hence the hideous folding canvas chairs on practically every porch on our block)

...my tired garden...

...hot apple cider in my mug. And I've saved the best for last...
...a bundled-up SoJo, rootin' for those Phillies in the playoffs!

  1. I hope you feel better soon. I haven't been feeling well either and went to sleep last night at 8pm! Yikes. I've definitely had to bundle up this week, but I'm enjoying it, for now. I hope you three have a super weekend!

  3. What a great series of photos! We're in a new subdivision so the closet we get to trees are tiny little sad ones that were recently planted.

    Hope you feel better!
