Blog Housekeeping

My former boss used to always start our meetings with "a little housekeeping" referring to a few quick bits of info related to organization and department updates. So I'm going to do that here.

First off, I've been picking a lot of winners from the contests here, and I've mentioned it before but please check the winners page button on the right sidebar to see if you've won. I email all the winners but still haven't heard back from a few. Might be in your Spam box!

Secondly, it seems like I'm so far behind in posting and responding to emails. Our trip to the beach, SoJo's ear infection and his lack of good quality naps have caught up with me. Plus the lesson plans I'm co-authoring for PBS's Craft in America program have been soaking up most of my online time in the evenings. It's fun work, but it takes a lot more time than I thought. Tonight I'm figuring out how to explain the process of weaving a discontinuous warp to high school students.

Here's the onesie I dyed with indigo two days ago. I love how it looks with these striped pants from Gymboree.
So all in all, it's been a busy week, but I'm enjoying the last of the summer days. It's cooler here in PA, which is exactly how I like it, so we've been taking advantage of the sunny days to be outside. Our weekly storytime at the library today migrated into a long walk around town, so maybe in the end I'll end up shedding a few pounds before the gluttony of the holidays.

I hope you're all enjoying the back-to-school peace. Thank you for all of your comments, and I will be visiting when I next come up for air. Here are some of the peeps I've missed checking up on (please excuse my laziness for not including links)--Erin from Mrs. Cox's Slice O'Heaven, Jennifer from Rundpinne, Mannequin from Fractured Toy, Kari from A Giveaway Addicted Mommy, Colette from Jamerican Spice, Naomi from superdumb supervillain, Jessie from Muthering Heights, CanCan from Mom Most Traveled, Angie from 7 Clown Circus, Blueviolet from A Nut in a Nutshell, ok, well just look at my blogroll! I'm sorry if I missed someone!

I too and horribly behind in everything and I hope to be caught up in time for the weekend when we have a birthday party, a town festival, annual rummage sale and family and friends over for the Labor Day Weekend.

Well... there you are. All caught up with me. Check me off you list and get some well deserved rest. Snuggle up with Sojo and Mr. Geek and know how much you are loved ... by them and by all of us.
