The Puj Tub: A Must-Have for Bathing Infants

I'm so excited to have been chosen as an official product tester for that super-luxe baby retailer Puj, and I recently got to try out one of their new baby bath tubs.
I really wish this had been on the market when SoJo was a baby. The soft foam, collapsible tub is geared toward babes 0-6 months, so I had to try this out with my friend's baby, who is 2 months old. Since the friend was a bit shy about having photos of her daughter posted on the internet, I'll write about my experience but use a doll to show you how the Puj bath tub works.

First off, here are some stats:
~BPA/PVC-free
~Hangs for drying (no crevices to try and clean and dry like other tubs)

~Stores flat (great for small spaces)

~Fits any sink

~Costs $39.95 (down from $99!), which may be pricey compared to those hard plastic baby tubs, but it's definitely worth the extra cost in its versatility and convenience

It comes in a flat box, which was a bit surprising,
and it's only about an inch thick.
It easily folds into a cradle-type shape to cushion your baby in a sink. Four magnets hold the tub in its cradle shape.
The round thing above is one of the magnets, which hooks to another one underneath.

My friend's daughter was quite snug in the Puj Tub and there was no worry about her rolling out or trying to use folded up towels to keep her from falling over. This would be really easy for bathing a newborn, unlike the first few times when I tried to bathe SoJo and had to roll up 3 towels and use a giant sponge to prop him up in the sink.

The Puj Tub is meant for a bathroom sink, which tend to be smaller than kitchen ones, but it would still work ok in our kitchen sink. I might just need something to prop it up underneath, since our kitchen sink is too deep for it to stay snug against the sides.
But we do have the smallest, ugliest bathroom sink in the world, and I'm happy to report that the Puj Tub fit in there just fine. Even the baby doll was blissed out, chillin' in the tub.
Back to my friend's experience: I let my friend wash her daughter herself, just to see how easy or hard it would be to do it alone. As the investigative blogger, I stood by taking mental notes. My friend kept saying how easy bathing her daughter was, and that she only wished that this could eventually go in the big tub. But by 6 months, her baby will be sitting up on her own anyway and wouldn't need the cradling of the Puj. I suppose this could be used flat in the tub as a soft mat.

She's been using the Puj Tub now for over a week and couldn't be happier. She loves that it hangs to dry too, unlike the plastic tub she has, which still has water in its crevices even after a few days.
I think that its lightweight profile would make this ideal for traveling with an infant too, especially on longer trips.

As I mentioned above, the Puj Tub is now $39.95, down from $99. Definitely worth buying for the new baby in your life. Check out the Puj Tub for yourself at the new web site exclusively for baby bath tubs!

Well, I'll be. I wish I had known of that when Charlie was itty bitty!! Hmmph! Remind me of this if I ever have a second, okay? ;)

I think they came out when Jasper was already getting too big for me to justify buying a new baby tub... they do look amazing, though. I love that it folds and you can hang it to dry.
