Wordful Wednesday: Ice and Sand

O blessed Spring! There's nothing like a few warm, 50 degree days to lift the spirits, especially after being housebound in Pennsylvania for what seems like months (oh yeah, I guess it has been months).
Mr. Geek took a day off to enjoy the sunshine and we headed to a local lake to take in the fresh air and Vitamin D.
This park has a nice sandy beach that we've visiting in summer, though I love its solitude in the off-season. The contrast of ice still lingering on the lake and the blue sky and sparkly water was gorgeous.
It reminds me of the painting Monk by the Sea by Caspar David Friedrich. After Sojo walked into the water with his shoes on, we decided to just let him go barefoot and squish his toes in the sand.
Here's to warmer days to come!

What a beautiful day! Our sunny days are still deceptively chilly, but I can't wait for the warm weather.

The first day it got warm here, my husband wanted to take us all for a walk near one of the local lakes. It was really different to be there when it was completely frozen over!

Kathleen,
What a wonderful day! The photographs are beautiful. I cannot believe how Soren has grown.
The weather here has been lovely and I have all the windows open. I must apologise for not stopping by more often, I have not been a good bloggy friend as of late.
