After our long weekend at the beach, I'm happy to share with you an item that made things so much easier for us--a SunSkinz Boys' Long Sleeve Rash Guard suit by Sun Protection Zone.
These are great! I love how it makes protecting your child's skin from the sun so much easier, especially since the sun is a lot more dangerous than it was when I was growing up (a sad goodbye to the ozone layer). I really hate to slather on sunscreen, since it's so greasy and you have to keep reapplying it.
With the Long Sleeve Rash Guard suit, which is rated 100 SPF/UPF 50+ Maximum Broad Spectrum UV Protection, you just need to apply sunscreen to the hands, face, neck and legs. I still use a hat to, to prevent burns on the scalp, especially where Sojo's hair is parted.
All the rest of the body is covered with the fabric, which dries quickly and can withstand the abuse of chlorine and salt water. The fabric feels durable and I like that it also keeps my son a little warmer in the water. There are even diaper snaps in the size 1 and 2 so changing is convenient. And how cool is the flame pattern? I've had many complements on the design. The girls' suits aren't so bad either. :)
