Just a quick post to share a smoothie I made earlier this week using frozen fruit and POM Wonderful pomegranate juice. I love the taste of this stuff and its powerhouse of antioxidants and nutrients, and it's great to keep on hand for flavoring drinks (like my homemade lemonade) and even for cooking.
For the smoothies, I took frozen raspberries and papaya, vanilla yogurt and a handful of blueberries
and added straight-up POM Wonderful (not the blends, which I'm sure are tasty too)
I whirred it around and got these
So delicious, refreshing, and a great way to get my son to drink his vitamins. He prefers drinking to eating most days. There are lots of other summer cocktail and mocktail recipes on the POM website to cool down your scorching days.
POM Wonderful has so many creative ways of incorporating pomegranates and pomegranate juice into your cooking. I'm eager to make this concoction with some of the juice in the fridge, The Grilled Portobello with POM Mustard Vinaigrette and Garden Greens.
Or when I have more time and when it gets cooler again, the Butternut Squash Ravioli with Peppered POM Sauce.
What about you? Have you cooked with POM lately?
Disclosure: I was sent samples of POM Wonderful to experiment with in the kitchen, and I thought you'd like to know about it.

That smoothie looks great, I usually use orange juice with my smoothies, but I've got to try them out with POM. Love the dark color, it looks so flavorful!
I love POM! Cooking with it is fun, definitely adds such great flavor :)
Yum! I am a huge fan of POM, but I never thought to actually cook with it!

Those recipes sound so tasty! :)
I like to mix POM with orange juice and a splash of carbonated water. Yummy!
