As a member of My Blog Spark, I was sent a box of Potato Buds from Betty Crocker to try out. After all, comfort food season is upon us.
I used this in two ways: first, I made straight-up mashed potatoes and topped them with some mushrooms cooked in red wine, butter and onions. It made an awesome gravy for the potatoes.
Second, I used the Potato Buds to thicken up a Autumn Squash stew. What a lovely, velvety texture.
These are great to have on hand in a pinch, if you're not feeling much like peeling and waiting for potatoes to cook. They literally can be on the table in about 5 minutes.
In addition, you can find a coupon for $0.55 off one package of Betty Crocker Potato Buds HERE. And for more information, visit BettyCrocker.com, and be sure to follow Betty Crocker on Twitter and "Like" the Facebook page to keep up with all of the latest news on your Betty Crocker favorites.
WIN IT!

ReplyDeleteOn the Betty Crocker Website there is a Oven Fried Chicken Recipe that uses Potato Buds.
ReplyDeleteMy husband (the main cook in the family) has been doing something of the sort for a few years now. Because we're trying as a family to lose weight, his version does not contain parm cheese or butter.
Using the buds like you'd use any other breading makes wonderful oven fried chicken.
