As part of a Green and Clean Mom blog tour, I was excited to try out some Method products in their new Antibacteria line, specifically the Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner, Antibacterial Bathroom Cleaner, and All Purpose Cleaning and Disinfecting Wipes.
According to Method's website, these cleaners kills 99.9% of household germs (specifically: influenza A, staphylococcus aureus, salmonella enterica and E. coli) WITHOUT BLEACH! Yay!
No surprise, they easily live up to my already high regard of Method. I've used the spray to disinfect everything from tables and countertops to toys and even a poopy potty. You can choose to use it to clean things immediately, or even spray a surface and let it sit for 10 minutes to kill germs. No wiping needed afterwards. Perfect for cold and flu (and kid!) season.
One other great thing about Method's products is that they are affordable. At $3.99 per item, the Antibac products won't kill your budget while killing germs.
I can't say I'm a big fan of the Lemon Verbena scent that the Antibac Kitchen Cleaner or All-Purpose Disinfecting and Cleaning Wipes come in, however the Spearmint Bathroom Cleaner is nicer. The scents wouldn't prevent me from using the product or buying it in the future though. I don't imagine that I'll be buying the wipes, just because we rely on cloth rags for cleaning rather than disposables.
As part of the blog tour, there will be a Method Twitter Party on Wednesday November 17th from 10p-11p EST, facilitated by Jennifer Taggart @thesmartmama and #ecowed. Method will be giving away prizes and be on the Twitter party to answer questions.
WIN IT!

Method's Holiday line is so wonderful--I stocked up on the bamboo air scent diffuser last year and I'm almost out--hopefully it's as good.

My current favorite is the Mandarin dish soap- as I recently bought some for the first time and it is currently in the kitchen. (I bought the Mandarin hand soap last year and it was delicious as well.)

I have used the bathroom cleaner and love it. It is a much better smell that other cleaners. I also use the daily shower spray. My fav has to be the bathroom cleaner though.

on a business perspective, the ff has impressed me: The first step of Method's vision is the responsibility to ensure that their products truly strive for sustainability — from the safety of the materials they are made from, to the ways they are made and shipped, to the partners we work with in our supply chain.

Method discontinued their Aroma Pill plug-ins, which I was addicted to. The Lychee sent was to die for! My current Method faves include the Wood for Good floor cleaner and foaming hand wash in Sea Minerals. I also love their stainless cleaner and cloth.

Method does dish washer soaps?! I know it's unrelated to this great giveaway and I love those products too but phosphate free dishes without powder spilled everywhere seems too good to be true.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win clean hands and hopefully a flu free season.

ReplyDeleteSo based on your review I was very excited to try this. I went right out on got some of the kitchen anti-bac. I should have heeded your warning because the smell of this product is so off putting. Everytime I have used it my family complains, "What is that horrible smell?" It is such a dissapointment because I love Methods many other awesome smelling non toxic product line. I hope they change this scent because I definately won't buy it again. :( And by all means this is nothing negative against you! I love your blog and appreciate all you do!
ReplyDeleteLilianna, I completely agree! The smell is awful, especially that I'm pregnant--it makes me nauseous. I ended up giving it to someone else because I just couldn't handle the smell anymore. I hope they modify the scent.
