Book Review: Sweets on a Stick {Giveaway}

Having young children gives me a great reason to entertain, and I'm often searching for fun, kid-friendly ways to serve food at parties.  With the cupcake and cake pop crazes still underway, I was eager to review the new book, Sweets on a Stick by Linda Vandermeer.
It's full of so many fun ideas for making, well, sweets on sticks. Not limited to trendy cake pops, Sweets on a Stick also has pies, muffins, cookies and candy on sticks too.

Soren and I browsed through the review copy and each page turn kept upping the ante of what he wanted us to create for our next party (most likely his birthday in March). My feeling is that he might choose the Blast Off Rocket cookies, since he's currently smitten with robots and outer space.
Though my personal favorite would be the Boston Creme Pie Pops.  Yum!
It's going to be a hard decision which ones we make for our next event.  So many of the recipes would be great for school too, either parties or bake sales.

I'm eager to try many of these recipes, and hope you might be too.

hehe...once again our boys are in the same phase. My son loves robots right now and we'll be doing a robot theme for his party at the end of February. I like the cutesy looking ones, but he's into the functioning ones and his dad lets him solder things (with supervision), so what boy wouldn't be into that? Anyhoo, if we were to win I'd love to have a gander at the space/robot themed ideas. I'm collecting stuff on Pinterest already, but tangible things are always a favorite for my son.

This book sounds so helpful for my lack of creativity... I love cookies and brownies and that's about all I venture to make. My kids would love this!

I like sweet and hate messy hands so treats on a stick sound perfect to me. Plus, they are so cute.

A friend and I are planning to try our hand at making cake pops for the farmers market this summer. I would love to have the inspiration and variety the book would offer.
