Looking Forward, Thinking Back

After taking some time off here to enjoy my family and friends, this week ended with a sweet little new year's eve party for the wee ones at our house last night.
It's been nice reflecting on all the blessings that have happened to our family this year--Jude's arrival, Soren beginning preschool, potty training success (mostly!), new twin cousins, a Halloween snowstorm, an opportunity to design Jude's nursery, and lots of fun outings including a trip to Disney World.
I'm looking forward to so many things in the coming year, first of which is just watching the boys grow and mature, and reveling in their joy and enthusiasm.  Chris and I are eager to work in the garden again, hopefully adding some more square footage and veggies to the mix.
I'm also hoping to finally figure out how to best use my camera this year--it's one of my New Year's resolutions, along with knitting more.  Last year knitting fell by the wayside, but I hope to take it up more, since I've started a local knitting group on Wednesday nights.  I did manage to get a bunch of hats made for gifts, which has me on a knit/purl roll.
Most of all, I'm looking forward to more making and doing here, both with the boys and by myself.  And I'm hoping to share it with you all along the way.

Here's wishing you a very happy, healthy, creative new year!  Be well!

That is awesome that you started a weekly knitting group! I also started one last year, we have been meeting for almost a year now. It's my weekly sanity! We have a great group. How many people do you have in yours? ;) happy knitting!

that looks delicious! I agree that the clamshell packaging looks a bit off but I'm sure you can clad it in some kind of awesome appliqued or block printed fabric… anyway, it's what's inside that counts, right?!
