Bringing the Aquarium Home

Last week, you might recall that we visited a local aquarium.  Naturally we had to purchase something in the gift shop, since in modern museum fashion, all exhibits exit through the gift shop.

Soren picked out some resin sea creatures, and has been playing underwater adventure over the last week.
While it's not really noteworthy, it's just proof that some of the most engaging activities are the simplest, and most involve water at least in our house!
A little food coloring helps set the mood too, if you don't mind stained towels or fingers.
These toys are now destined for the bathtub, where hopefully they'll inspire some new adventures.

  2. Those plastic animals are the BEST! Roo chose a praying mantis as a souvenir when she was a toddler and it was her constant companion for quite a while. They still love them, taking them into the bath and pool and outside. They even work their way into Playmobil knights and Polly Pocket play!

  3. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet comments! The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie so planning the party was the ultimate pleasure. :) Your blog is beautiful!! I made a Jell-O fish aquarium with my kids too but yours is awesome! I'm going to try it in the casserole dish instead and with NO candy!! I love it! Please stop by again if you have a chance and would love to have you as a follower too. Have a great weekend and thanks again! Brooke
