We probably have pizza for lunch or dinner a few times a month, and on occasion it will be a frozen pizza when I'm beat and don't feel like cooking. They're convenient and often cheaper than a pizzeria, so they're nice to have on hand.
I like that Annie's is organic, from crust to cheese to meat. I personally can't think of any other pizzas available that can say that.
With a 11.5" diameter, this pie can feed a family of 4 easily. I paired it with a salad and some baked potatoes (not a typical combo for us, but I had to use them up), and we had a quarter of a pizza left over for the next meal.
While our family eats 99% of our diet as vegetarian, I did end up buying a Pepperoni pizza, only because WholeFoods only had Pepperoni and Supreme (with pepperoni and sausage). I normally would have chosen the Four Cheese or Spinach Mushroom.
It was super easy to make. Just remove the packaging, rearrange the pepperoni or toppings (they tend to slide off in transit),
then preheat the oven and bake.
I found the pizza quite tasty, with chewy and crunchy crust (there are instructions for baking either a softer or crunchier crust depending on baking time) and a perfect amount of cheese.
While I'd recommend this pizza taste-wise and for its healthier, organic ingredients, I did find that it was pricier than most frozen pizzas (just under 10 bucks). However, it is organic so you do pay more for that. Also, I hope that they branch out into other stores beyond WholeFoods, which in general isn't convenient for me to shop at (it's near my parents, so I sometimes visit it when I'm at their house). But overall, Annie's Rising Crust pizzas are a nice treat.
