Sunny (and Hot) Days at Sesame Place {Giveaway}

Soren and I had a great time this week splashing in the water rides at Sesame Place.
The timing was perfect--hot weather, no rain clouds, and getting to meet up with a blogging friend who was in town with her boys.
As an Ambassador for Sesame Place for the past year and a half, I've been there with my family a few times, however never in the heat of summer.  Hence this was our first time on the water attractions.
It's really a fantastic water park, with big and little rides for all ages.  I like that Sesame Place isn't too big or sprawling; it makes getting around and navigating through the park with smaller kids much easier than in larger ones.  Plus Sesame Place has its own iPhone app that includes a map and other helpful info to navigate your visit.

We were fortunate enough to get to try out one of the cabanas, a 10x10 private tent with chairs, a lockable drawer to keep stuff (though our lock was broken) and a refrigerator, which was a blessing in the 98 degree heat that day.
It allowed us to keep drinks and snacks cool.  Did you know Sesame Place lets you bring in your own food (other than large coolers)?

The cabana was great for keeping the kids and adults shaded (there's even a ceiling fan to create a breeze), giving us a private place to stash our stuff and to discreetly change into swimsuits. There are 6 chairs, a table for eating, and complementary water and towels (to keep).
In the cabanas, you also might get a guest appearance from a Sesame Street celeb.
Sorry for cropping your head out Count. I think I was just too excited to see my favorite Sesame Place character.  Our cabana was right next to The Count's Castle, a water play area that all the kids loved.
There are the usual dry attractions too at Sesame Place, which are equally fun though the water rides are more appealing on hot summer days.
And no visit to Sesame Place is complete for us without the obligatory character cupcake.
 Nom nom nom!
We're eager to get back to Sesame Place again this season, hopefully when it's still hot and heavy out there to take advantage of the water attractions.  We had a great time!

WIN IT!
One lucky reader will get to have their own Sesame adventure with a set of 4 tickets!  Enter via Rafflecopter below.

Disclosure: As a Sesame Place Ambassador, I received a family pass for the 2012 season as well as the use of a complementary cabana on this visit.
