It's rare that they leak when we use them, and they're soft and comfortable for our toddler too. Plus, they provide 12 hours of protection, since his clothes are still dry when he wakes up.
Part of our nightly bedtime routine is of course, a fresh diaper, but also reading favorite books like Goodnight Moon (or "mush" as Jude calls it) and Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See? (also referred to by a funny name, "teacher", from one of the last pages in the book).
We've recently started using the Twilight Turtle night light, which both of my boys love. It turns nighttime into a magical experience, and eases fears of the dark.
