While there wasn't much traffic last night, despite it being the eve of a big snowstorm headed our way, Marshalls and TJ Maxx were packed. I don't think it's much of a secret that they have such great deals, and with the economy the way it is, people are looking even more for a bargain.
I couldn't believe the things that I found at Marshalls. I picked up some Melissa and Doug wooden toys and puzzles for various little ones in our family and some Eric Carle books for SoJo's stocking for $3 each. I also got a luxurious pair of Vera Wang pajamas for someone on my list for under $25. I bought a few white dress shirts for my husband and also some KitchenAid kitchen utensils for stocking stuffers.
Here are a few of the other items and brands that I saw, but didn't purchase. They were extremely well-priced.
- Acorn Mary Jane wool slippers for $17 (normally $40+)
- Brio, Lego and Baby Einstein toys
- Carters clothing
- Born shoes
- Oggi reusable water aluminum bottles
- Tazo Tea gift sets
- Lots of great kids books, including Dr. Seuss and Olivia.
- Bialetti Stovetop Coffee maker
- Andy Warhol bags ($30, I think. Great gift for teens).
So if you're a last minute shopper like me, be sure to check out Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Obviously I can't get enough of them, since this is my second time posting about my deals. You will honestly end up buying more that you intend, but at these deals, you can afford to.

You do know how to shop! I love the bags. Maybe I can convince DH to to take me to Marshall's tomorrow.
I bought "Olivia" for Liliana at TJ Maxx! And I convinced my mom that she had to get a whole set (5!) of Eric Carle books for Lili Bea for Christmas. That was a couple of months ago. I meant to tell you how many board books I saw there, but I forgot about it...No bilingual ones, though. I'll probably have to pay top dollar for those.
Holy crap I have the green bag and love it!
