It's Friday Featured Blog time! This week we have the popular blueviolet, aka Elizabeth aka A Nut in a Nutshell's blogger joining us to chat about herself and her blog. Despite her "protests" that she was, as she wrote, "unworthy," I convinced her otherwise. I met her via Mannequin, a mutual blogger friend, and have enjoyed reading her posts, as they run the gamut from posts about her family to writing challenges/memes, to reviews and giveaways. Blueviolet has quite a following...just look at the comments she gets! Here she is, in her own words...What is your blog about? I like to think of my blog as a playful and quirky expression of myself. There’s a good mix of personal observations and anecdotes, reviews and giveaways. I like to find the humorous side of things and blog about it, and if I have to poke a little fun at myself in the process, so be it.
Where does your blog title come from?
I hate to say it but that one's fairly self-explanatory.
When and why did you start your blog? I started it in October 2008 after a lot of encouragement and quite frankly, pushing and shoving, from mannequin at Fractured Toy. Love ya, mannequin!
What would you like to add to your blog in the next year? At this time, I feel pretty content with where I'm at.
What are some of your favorite blogs? I have been asked this a lot and I really don't have any. I like a variety of styles and I enjoy something special about each one of them.
What is one of your pet peeves about blogs or bloggers? I still haven't figured out why blogs with comment moderation need word verification too.
What advice would you have for any new bloggers? Ask your fellow bloggers for help or advice . There are a lot of unknowns when starting out. I had to figure so much out on my own, and I am delighted to help others out whenever they ask. I enjoy that.
What is something that people might not know about you? I am actually a very quiet person in real life.
