Katydid's Favorite: The Unemployed Philosophers Guild {Giveaway}

If you're any sort of intellectual (like me, ha ha), you probably want to expose your kids to Shakespeare and Nietzsche, well maybe after they turn 5. After all, someone who named their child after a philosopher would naturally like a stuffed version of one:
I first saw the Little Thinkers series from The Unemployed Philosophers Guild when visiting the gift shop at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (and on a side note, definitely check out your local museum's gift shop for really unique gifts). I was particularly fond of the Frida Kahlo doll, since she's one of my favorite artists.
I like how they make some of the great artists, writers, philosophers, composers and other thinkers accessible to kids and appealing to the child inside us adults. Check out these other Little Thinkers, all $17.95.
Albert EinsteinEdgar Allen Poe
Barack ObamaThey carry many other unique and clever gifts, like puppet sets, notecards, mugs and more. The Freudian Slippers ($24.95) are pretty cheeky.
The Unemployed Philosophers Guild is generously offering one K&K reader
Visit The Unemployed Philosophers Guild and leave a comment here with your favorite product and which Little Thinker you'd pick if you won.

  4. This site cracks me up! (Have you gotten SoJo a Kierkegaard finger puppet yet?!) It seems almost insipid to admit that my favorite item on the site are the mugs with the disappearing Cheshire Cat and fossilized dinosaurs.

    If I had to choose just one Little Thinker (there are so many cool ones!), I would go for Ganesh. Or Andy Warhol, although I am not entirely sure I'd like to see one of my kids cuddling up with him...
