Produced by the Jim Henson Company, Dinosaur Train follows the adventures of the Pteranodon family via train rides through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous eras.
Recently, we had a chance to try one of the Dinosaur Train Hatchers, an egg that you soak in water and which hatches a baby dinosaur.
Soren really enjoyed this, especially for Easter. Patience is not a strong trait in most preschoolers and since the egg can take up to 2 days to hatch, you might run into some difficulties waiting for the baby dino. Also, when it came out of the egg, my husband said it smelled strongly of lighter fluid (I wasn't there to verify), so you probably want to give it a good rinsing and soaking before letting your little one play with it. It is a fun thing for them to watch, seeing the dino grow.
If you have kids who love this show, you might be interested in knowing that you could throw a Dinosaur Train themed party, complete with cake and cupcakes that reflect the show's characters.
What a cool cake! These cupcake rings would be fun for kids too.

Dinosaur Train has to be the best show on t.v, (and the internet). We watch it religiously. I would have to say our favorite thing to do on the website is scan the dinos to see the xrays, etc, so the boys can learn more about them.

My kids love this show. My favorite thing about it is all the fun dinosaur facts my kids are learning. They know all the names, what they eat and what period they are from. It is great!
We love the games. And anything that teaches about dinosaurs!
