But this post is not about me, it's about a fabulous new book, Natural Patchwork: 26 Stylish Projects Inspired by Flowers, Fabric & Home, by Suzuko Koseki and published by one of my favorite book houses, Shambhala Press. The book is available for purchase tomorrow, April 12th.
My attempts at patchwork have been spotty at best, but after reading through this book, I'm ready to try my hand at it again.
Natural Patchwork has some wonderful projects that would be perfect for using up your stash of fabric left over from other projects (please tell me I'm not the only one who's a fabric hoarder). These Appliqued Hot Pads look like a great start for me, a project small enough to not be too overwhelming.
The photography in the book is moody and gorgeous, as seen in this project below, for Alphabet Pillow Covers.
I think this is another one I want to attempt to make, once we pick out a name for the baby. It would be a nice touch perched on the nursing chair.
If bags are more your thing, there are quite a few options in this book, both large and small.
The possibilities are endless, and hopefully some of these projects will make a dent in my scrap fabric stash.
WIN IT!

Ooooo! Fun! There are several that are already on my "to get" list, but one I just learned about...and has been added as a must have, The Creative Family: How to Encourage Imagination and Nurture Family Connections, I mean come on! the title alone is a winner! :)
Thanks!
btw, you aren't the only one with multiple started but yet to be finished projects. I have so many they've earned their own place in my sewing room!
I also follow your blog. (sorry, don't tweet though.)
Thanks again for the fun and chance!
I would love to win this book because I could use a good craft book to add to my very small collection that I'm starting to build on.
will be crossing my fingers!

I think this book would be great for me to incorporate a more natural feel to my sewing - the "organic" nature of the items really appeals to me but when I sew it seems much more color saturated. I like the calmness of these peices and would like to recreate it!
This is fabulous! I liked Suzuko Koseki's other book Patchwork Style but have never seen this one. I liked being able to browse the inside and love the asian flair to her designs.
I'd love to win a copy of this. Thanks for having this giveaway.
there are a few that seem interesting especially Finding your Inner Mama!

I would love to have some projects to use up my leftover fabrics! I can't seem to get rid of it, so some potholders or bags would be perfect!

I'm interested in getting this book because I love patchwork, I am just starting out with it (I've done a few quilts) and am quickly realizing that there is a limit to the number of quilts we really need (especially when we have other tallented quilters in the family who have already blessed us with quite a few.) I love the idea of smaller patchwork projects that are useful.
