Now imagine my relief when, as part of the Graco Nation, I was able to review a the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40 and kick Jude's non-Graco seat to the curb (or at least to Grandma's car).
SnugRide 40, which is sold exclusively at Babies R Us, is an innovative rear-facing car seat that can be used from newborns up to age two (from four to forty pounds).
I'll admit I was skeptical, wondering how Jude at 16 months would fit into what essentially looks like an infant car seat.
Like other infant car seats, it pops out of its base (which gets installed in the car) and can be carried with the handle. Not that I'd attempt this now, with a toddler, mind you, but it is nice to have that feature with an infant. It also has a sun canopy, which is great for car naps and protecting Jude from projectiles coming from his brother's seat. The Click Connect system that allows it to attach to the base also works with Graco Strollers, allowing you to use the SnugRide 40 outside of the car as well.
Graco's SnugRide Click Connect 40 is a great investment for new parents not wanting to change out a car seat before the switch to a forward position. Check it out at your local Babies R Us.
