Holiday Bargains at TJ Maxx

I'm not much of a shopper anymore, mostly due to my lack of extra money from not working and not wanting to shop with a toddler. But when it comes to the holidays, there is one store that I always hit--TJ Maxx. It's full of clothes, toys, home decor, and more, including tons of gift options for even the tightest budgets.
I've posted about TJ Maxx before, as I'm part of a group of bloggers who've worked with them in the past, and it's always a pleasure to check out our local TJ Maxx store. Why? Because you can get high-end, high-quality items for low prices.

I went to TJ Maxx last night, armed with $50 in gift cards, $25 for my secret santa blog partner (more to come on that later) and $25 to use toward holiday gifts for people on my list. I'm always amazed at what I find, from housewares to clothing to kids' toys, and all of these items are drastically discounted.

Some of the items I came across at TJ Maxx:
  • Eric Carle books
  • Thomas the Train items for under $10 plus tons of other Thomas stuff steeply discounted
  • Playmobil sets for under $20
  • Name brand perfumes at half off
  • Le Creuset enamel pots
  • brand name bags and purses
  • tons of candles and holders
  • gift boxes of gourmet teas, candies, and other goodies
  • Gorgeous throws for your couch
  • Knitting books and lots of cook books

I ended up buying some gifts last night, including photo frames, a book for SoJo, a scrapbook kit, notecards and pajamas. I got so much of my shopping done in one place, and I love that these items are NOT the usual things that you find everywhere. It's fun to look through the aisles and discover the perfect gift for someone.

As I mentioned earlier, we were given a $25 gift card toward the purchase of items for a Secret Santa exchange. This was fun, but surprisingly hard! There were just so many things to choose from and it was hard narrowing it down.

I settled on some cute stuff, like a magnetic calender ($13), which had a lovely bird on it. I went with a bird theme after finding this calender, and got some magnets (shown below), a bird dessert plate, and a mug. All for under $25.
Here's my gifts, wrapped and ready to be shipped to my Secret Santa.I hope she likes them! I'm eager to see what will be coming my way too, and who will be sending them.

Also, for a chance to win $5000 shopping spree and fifteen $100 gift cards from TJ Maxx, check out the Carol-Oke video contest, wher eyou select one of 3 Christmas carols and create your own Carol-Oke video and upload it to their You Tube channel.

So definitely check out TJ Maxx for your Christmas shopping. It's worth the trip!
Disclosure: I received $50 in gift cards from TJ Maxx, $25 of which was spent on my Secret Santa. UPS Shipping was also paid for by the sponsor. I would have told you how much I like shopping at TJ Maxx anyway, even without the gift cards. I was not obligated to post about this either, but wanted to share what a great store it is.

You did good! I opted for one thing for my secret santa, but a bigger item. I hope she likes it, too...

I totally agree--I love TJ Maxx because they have so many things for so many different people!
And may I just say, I'm so jealous that you got a gift card to shop for your Secret Santa(that would be so awesome)!

I knew TJMaxx was the place to go last week... did so much holiday shopping there and I KNOW I saved tons of money. It's nice to go to one shop and be able to get things for everyone.
