Cuppa Jane Coffee {Giveaway}

I've blogged about my love, I mean, obsession with coffee in the past, and now that cooler weather is here, I find myself jonesing for the stuff throughout the day.  And not just any coffee will do (sorry Maxwell House); I'm a self-proclaimed coffee snob.

I recently discovered Cuppa Jane Coffees, purveyors of fine brews, cocoas and teas, and their blends sounded great.  They sent me a sampler of three of their seasonal blends, Candy Cane, Pumpkin Harvest, and Cinnamon Sugar Cookie.

Their coffees were delightful, even though I usually tend to prefer unflavored coffees.  The added flavors were subtle, and not overpowering, as some cheaper flavored coffees tend to be.  The flavors really complemented the coffee taste, rather than competed or overpowered it.  And you can't go wrong with grinding your own beans--the taste is always so much better and fresher.

We've been enjoying the Pumpkin Harvest whole bean coffee, since it seems so fitting for October. It's a nice blend of spices that enhance sweets like apple cakes and the like. It's also a good stand-in dessert, when you're trying to watch calories but still want a sweet ending to a meal.

The peppermint-flavored Candy Cane is also quite good, and I imagine we'll be drinking the bulk of it closer to the winter holidays.  The Candy Cane blend reminds me of a holiday drink that you can get at Starbucks--but without the hefty price tag.

The last flavor we received was the Cinnamon Sugar Cookie.  While not bad, I must say it wasn't my favorite.  I tend to prefer plain cinnamons or peppermints rather than flavors that try to mimic desserts.  But that's just my taste buds, maybe not yours.

At around $9 a pound, Cuppa Jane coffees are worth treating yourself to, whether you're a coffee snob like me, or just like a nice cup once in a while.
