Mr. Geek took a day off to enjoy the sunshine and we headed to a local lake to take in the fresh air and Vitamin D.
This park has a nice sandy beach that we've visiting in summer, though I love its solitude in the off-season. The contrast of ice still lingering on the lake and the blue sky and sparkly water was gorgeous.
It reminds me of the painting Monk by the Sea by Caspar David Friedrich. After Sojo walked into the water with his shoes on, we decided to just let him go barefoot and squish his toes in the sand.

ReplyDeleteThe first day it got warm here, my husband wanted to take us all for a walk near one of the local lakes. It was really different to be there when it was completely frozen over!
