Lawry's Wants to Know: What's Your Flavor? {Giveaway}

Ok, it's true. I have a salt-tooth.  Which is a perfect complement to my husband's sweet tooth. And truth be told, I love Lawry's Seasoned Salt. I use it in so much of my cooking, from soups and stews to casseroles.   So when I had the chance to try out some of their new marinades and Seasoning mixes, I of course was all over it.

Lawry's is running a campaign called What´s your flavor?, where you can discover what your taste buds say about you. 

• Joyous Joiners - Tart Flavors
  If you are one for tart flavors, you tend to be extremely happy overall, particularly with your family, finances, work/life balance and even your health.   Your passion for savory flavors shows you have an enthusiasm for politics, enjoy camping and hiking and love outdoor barbeques and American cuisine. Along with the other Conventionalists, you tend to be more introverted than the rest of the groups and often describe yourself as a homebody. 

According to the descriptions above, I'd say that I'm a cross between a Spicy Adventurer and a salty Conventionalist.

Lawry's and My Blog Spark sent along some of their new products for me to try, and I used the Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ sauce to cook up some salmon

 

I simply marinated the fish in the sauce for an hour, then seared it in the pan.  It was delicious, satisfying my salt tooth and my husband's sweet one.  My only wish is that Lawry's avoided high fructose corn syrup in their marinades, since we try to avoid that when grocery shopping.

I still have to try the other seasoning mixes, but am excited about the Chimichurri Burrito Casserole mix--yum!  Lawry's mixes are great when I don't entirely feel like cooking from scratch or am at a creative standstill in the kitchen.
