Baby Month: Putumayo Kids Acoustic Dreamland {Giveaway}

Thinking back on some of my favorite things for babies, I was happy to include Putumayo Kids, specifically its Dreamland series.  Sometimes there's not much you can do to calm a baby except for putting on a CD to change the atmosphere and provide some pleasant background sounds.  I like that Putumayo focuses on music from around the world, which is a great thing for wee ones to be exposed to.

We have quite a few titles from Putumayo and Putumayo Kids, including the original Dreamland

and Asian Dreamland, both of which have worked wonders in soothing a sleepless child (and his parents!).

Putumayo Kids has just released a new title in the series, Acoustic Dreamland, which is just as relaxing as the other CDs.

It includes songs by Elizabeth Mitchell, another favorite of ours, as well as artists who are new to us.
We've been enjoying listening to this album, especially when things are chaotic in the house and we need to transition from a boisterous activity to a calmer one.  I love Putumayo, and their commitment to introducing children to other cultures through music from around the world.  And their cover art and company graphics are just the icing on the cake.
