thinksport LIVESTRONG Sunscreen {Giveaway}

Being the fair-skinned, light-haired (read: sunburn prone) mother/child that we are, Soren and I go through sunscreen especially quickly in the warmer months.  Because I'm concerned about chemicals in our body, I tend to buy natural sunscreens that use zinc oxide as a main sunblock.  One new brand I was able to try out is the thinksport LIVESTRONG sunscreen, released by the thinkbaby brand that I like so much, who has partnered with Lance Armstrong's LIVESTRONG Foundation.

This sunscreen works great, at least that I can tell, as we've applied it many times so far without nary a pink tint to our skin.  At 30+SPF, the thinksport LIVESTRONG sunscreen is mineral-based, using 20% zinc oxide, and is not as thick and pasty as some other zinc-based sunscreens I've used in the past.  It's quite easy to smooth on one's skin.  Some other facts about it:

• No chemical UV absorbers, No PABA. No Parabens. NO BPA.
• Does not contain biologically harmful chemicals

• A member of the Safe Cosmetics Campaign Compact
• New formulation for 2011 absorbs virtually clear and non-oily 

Plus when you purchase  thinksport LIVESTRONG sunscreen, you're contributing to the LIVESTRONG organization and its fight against cancer. 

I find that this sunscreen is reasonably-priced at around $16, and can be found easily at both online retailers as well as brick-and-mortar stores like Target.  Plus if you "like" their Facebook page, you can get a 25% discount on the sunscreen.
