Tea for Two Boys: Cool Clothes from the Tea Collection {Giveaway}

The one thing that usually bums me out about being a mom of two boys (and 0 girls) is the clothing.  Boys clothes, frankly, are often so utilitarian and emblazoned with those tired standbys of puppies, trains, and trucks.  Yawn.  Girls' clothing is much cuter, and definitely more appealing to me as a mom (and a woman).  Those little dresses are just so adorable, and are prone to making me think that we should try for a girl (kidding, Chris).

However, there are some adorable yet masculine choices for boys clothing out there too, and Tea Collection has so many great items for the boys in your life.

Mucha Lucha Libre Hoodie

Their Modern Mexico fall line is filled with classy designs mixed with patterns and motifs from Mexican folk art and culture.  The colorful graphics and prints are so charming on boys and girls alike.   I love the quality of Tea's tees, like this Aztec Eagle Henley that Soren is modeling.

I like how soft yet durable Tea's clothing is.  We were sent some shirts and a pair of super soft yet lightweight Carrot Fit Cords corduroy pants that are perfect for back-to-school. 

They're still a little long for Soren, but I know he'll grow into them.  They're the perfect weight to wear from Fall until Spring.

Having minored in Art History, I appreciate the subtle gesture of including Mexican art imagery in the clothing, such as the Toro Pintado tee, shown above. Start my kiddo early with learning about different cultures,  in any way one can! It certainly beats the run-of-the-mill super hero t-shirts that are all over the stores. 

And Tea didn't leave out the babies.  Jude was sent the Ernesto Striped Romper, which is so soft and sophisticated in its chocolate and cream stripes.

Ready for an outing along the Baja

I appreciate that it's a one-piece, since two-piece outfits for infants tend to always be riding up or riding down along the middle.  I like that it has a hood too, for when the weather is a little chilly or damp.  Sure beats remembering to bring along a hat.

And I really adore the La Rana Y El Mono Romper, which was also sent for Jude, because of my art background.  It's based on Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo (one of my favorite artists) who used to call each other the frog (La Rana) and the monkey (El Mono).

The sketch on the front is in the style of Rivera's drawings.
