The Kid's Favorite: Eco Time Toys {Giveaway}

Anything with wheels can probably be considered one of S's favorite things in our house. I'd say 70% of his toys are of the wheel-kind, and he happily pushes them around all day long, often holding one in each hand, and sometimes struggling to carry a third vehicle.
I'm not a fan of molded plastic toys (mom, will you get the hint now that this is in print?), so most of our toys are made of wood or other natural products. ecoTimeToys supplies all kinds of eco-friendly toys made from natural and earth-friendly materials.
They have a great selection of wooden cars, and we were sent one of the Handeez cars by Holgate Toys to test out.
It's quite a hit with SoJo. We tried out the Choo Choo Express train ($9.99), a wooden car with a retro-looking design on the side. The coolest part of this vehicle is that it has a built in handle, which makes it easy for S to do his signature driving around the house
meaning that he crawls around, putting his weight on top of the cars while pushing. The handle makes it easier for him to grip the car. Brilliant!

I added this photo because it just makes me laugh. Our cat really isn't that regal.

My only problem with the Handeez vehicles is that their packaging is awful. Not only was it plastic and non-eco friendly, but it was tough to open. I had to get out the industrial cutters to pry open the plastic box it came in. I've been told by the folks at ecoTimeToys that their other brands aren't as heavily packaged though.
