Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme
TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.
1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year? 
A ForLife Whole Leaf, 4-Cup Aqua tea pot
A Black handmade Kitchen broom
This amazing Raspberry Tile ring
A customized rubber address stamp

and chairs for our kitchen table. I'm tired of our motley crew of them.
2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?
Despite all the handmade things I make for people, I rarely get something handmade as a gift.  But I do love the handmade book that my friend in Laos gave me for my son. It's hand sewn by a Lao artisan.  I do treasure the sweater/hat set that someone lovingly knit for my son too.
3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle? 
I've always wanted to make a quilt, like a lap quilt.  Especially a Christmas one, like in a red and white Scandinavian pattern.  
4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child? 
I fondly recall the dollhouse I received, I think when I was 8 or 9.  I spent so many hours playing with it, making curtains and furniture out of cardboard and other found stuff.  I think I'd still like playing with it!


5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year? 
Since he's only a toddler, he doesn't really have a wish list, but I'd like to get him a wooden fire truck.  He'd probably like some kind of ball or a tricycle too.  I've also been thinking of buying or making him a growth chart.
6. What is your favorite holiday food? 
I love my Firecracker Party Mix and my mother-in-law's nut roll.
7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays? 
I'm knitting some hats, sewing a few crayon rolls, making an ornament for my son (a yearly thing), and probably putting together some gift baskets.
8. What is your favorite holiday movie? 
I love It's a Wonderful Life, naturally, and Christmas Vacation.
9. Favorite holiday song? 
I love Diana Krall's "I'll be Home for Christmas" and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" as well as "Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music.
10. Favorite holiday pastime?
I just love to be in our home when it's decorated and the twinkling lights and candles are lit. It's magical.
