The Art of Shaving Cream

We don't just stick to the standard paints and crayons for art supplies around here.
For a whopping 89 cents, hours of fun can be found in a can of shaving cream.
Bring out the usual cars and trucks, spoons and forks and all is special again.
I tried adding food coloring, but S didn't care either way, so I nixed it. No reason to get MY hands stained up, right?
When he's a bit older, we'll try painting with shaving cream or maybe marbling paper with it.

What fun things are you doing with your littles this week?

  1. He is so cute. Whipping cream would taste better, but probably be so much messier!

We could use more texture art around here, and CLEAN texture art is definitely on my MUST BE list.

  2. He looks SO cute with the shaving cream on his nose!!

  3. Oh yes, I use to have the preschoolers play with shaving cream. It would help clean the tables, the classroom would smell good and they kids had a blast.

  4. Man, you've got to be the coolest mom in his little eyes! LOL

Heck, I wanna go and splash around in shaving cream {other then shaving my legs that is}!

Love the pictures-He looks like he's having so much fun xD

  5. When I was little my Mom always gave us kids a cup of shaving cream and a spoon in the bathtub(along with our boats).
We had in the middle of the day "for no reason" baths(playtime) at least twice a week.
She also would color the water with food coloring, just for fun.

  6. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

  7. You always have such neat ideas =)

  8. Looks like he had fun! When I was in third grade, our teacher had us practice our spelling words by spelling them out in shaving cream.
